When a league is on hold
A leauge can be put on hold for a varity of reasons, this section explains what you can do with a league on hold.
Obvioulsy when a league is on hold, you'll see this:
This league is on hold
Everything is still here and can still be read. Until the hold is lifted the league cannot be changed — no new seasons, divisions, results or fixtures. Joining and leaving still work, and the owner can still hand the league on or delete it. Email us and we will tell you why.
If you are the league's owner or a moderator, you will also have an email titled "[your league] has been put on hold".
Nothing is lost
Every table, every fixture, every result and every player's average is untouched. A hold is not a deletion, a downgrade or an archive.
What still works
| Reading everything | The league page, every division, every standings table, every fixture and result. Nothing is hidden, from anybody. |
| Joining | A new player can still join the league. |
| Leaving | Any member can still leave. Nobody is trapped in a league on hold. |
| Members and roles | Owners and moderators can still add, remove and reinstate members, and change their roles. |
| Handing the league on | The owner can still transfer the league to another member. |
| Deleting the league | The owner can still delete it outright. |
What does not
| League settings | The name, description and scoring are fixed while the hold is on. |
| Divisions | No adding, renaming, reordering or deleting. |
| Seasons | No creating, editing, starting, closing or reopening. |
| Hosts and rosters | Hosts cannot be appointed or changed, and players cannot be entered into or withdrawn from a division. |
| Fixtures | No schedule can be drawn or cleared. |
| Results | No results can be recorded, corrected or deleted. |
| Discord | No channel can be connected, tested or removed, and nothing can be posted to Discord. The Discord button is gone. |
Getting it lifted
Email us. The message on your league page and the email you were sent both say so, and the reply will tell you why the hold went on.
Once it is lifted, the league works again immediately.
If you are a player rather than an organiser
You will see the same message, and your league's tables and fixtures still read normally. There is nothing for you to do. Your results and your average are safe, and your organiser is the person sorting it out.
