ODL Manager

Privacy

What ODL Manager holds about you, why it holds it, and how to have it removed.

If anything here is unclear, ask. The address is at the bottom of this page.

Who runs this

ODL Manager is run by an individual, not a company. There is no advertising business attached to it, and personal details are not bought from or sold to anybody.

What is held, and why

Your account. Your name, your email address, and a password if you set one. The name appears on league tables and next to your results, and can be changed at any time in Settings → Profile. The email address is used to sign in, to reset a password, and to send notifications you have asked for.

Your Discord account, if you connected one. Signing in with Discord provides your identity and your email address. ODL Manager keeps your Discord account id, your Discord username, and a copy of your profile picture. Your Discord password is never received, and the access token is not kept — it is used once to read those details and then discarded. This app cannot read your servers, your messages or anything else in your Discord account.

Your league activity. The leagues you own or belong to, the divisions you play in, your fixtures, your results, and any averages, 180s or checkouts recorded against you. This is visible to the other people in your league.

Tournaments you enter. That you entered, who entered you if somebody added you by hand, your seeding, who you were drawn against, and the scores. A tournament is run inside a league and is visible to the people in that league. Tournament results are not counted into the average shown on your profile, which comes from division results only.

What you have been told. Notifications are stored so they can be read later. They are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Whether you want email. One switch, in Settings → Notifications. Turning it off does not affect what you see in the app; it stops email being sent.

If somebody wrote your name down

You can be in a league here without having signed up. Whoever runs a league can add a player who has no account, so that person can be placed on a roster and appear in results. If that is you, you did not agree to any of this — somebody else entered your name.

What is held: your name, which league you were added to, who added you, and when. There is no email address, no password and no picture. Your name appears wherever any other player's would: the roster, the fixtures, the league table, and the shared page if that league publishes one.

A link exists that converts the record into your account. Whoever runs the league can send it to you. Opening it lets you create an account and take the record over, after which everything in this policy that applies to an account applies to it. The link cannot be used again once the record has been claimed.

To be removed, ask whoever runs the league. That takes you off the roster. Matches already played keep your name, because a result belongs to both players and removing one side would leave the other player's record incorrect. You can also write to the address at the bottom of this page, naming the league.

Your profile picture

If you signed in with Discord, your picture is copied to our own server rather than linked from Discord.

Discord serves profile pictures from an address containing your Discord account id. Linking to that address would place your Discord id in the page source and would tell Discord which league pages were being viewed, and by whom. Copying the file once prevents both. If no copy exists, your initials are shown. The Discord address is never used as a fallback.

Disconnecting Discord in Settings → Security deletes the copy along with the connection.

What is not done

  • There is no analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising. No page reports to a third party about what you viewed.
  • The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in, plus the token that protects forms from cross-site submission. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you have not been asked.
  • Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

The shared league page

A league can publish a division at a link that requires no account. That page shows names, positions and scores. It shows no email addresses, no Discord ids and no profile pictures.

A league can turn that page off. Under League settings → The page you share, unticking Anyone with the link can read a division table restricts it to league members. Nothing else about the page changes. This is the league's decision rather than ours, so ask whoever runs your league if you would prefer your name not to appear on a page a stranger can open.

Tournament entry links

A tournament can be entered from a link, which whoever runs it shares wherever the league communicates. The link does not identify you, and holding it tells us nothing about who holds it. It does not grant access to the league: somebody who opens it and is not a member is asked to join the league first, so a forwarded tournament link cannot be used to enter a league that is not taking members.

Draws

There is no way to enter a draw yourself. Whoever runs the league gives you a number, or brings you in along with a division's roster or a tournament's field, so what is held is the name you were entered under, the number, and a link to your account where the two are connected.

A draw can be watched from a public page that needs no account. It shows names and numbers exactly as the league's own screen does, and nothing more — no email address, no Discord id and no picture.

Who else is involved

  • Discord, if you sign in with it, or if your league posts fixtures and results to a Discord channel. What is posted there is what already appears on the league page — names and scores.
  • An email provider, to deliver verification, password resets and the notifications you have asked for.
  • A hosting provider, whose servers this runs on.

Each has your data only as far as it needs it for that purpose.

Removing your data

Settings → Profile → Delete account. This is immediate and is not a soft delete. Your account, your memberships, your stored picture and your notifications are removed. Leagues you own are deleted with you, along with their seasons, fixtures and results. Hand a league over first if it is still being played in.

If you claimed a written-down record, the record of that claim remains with the league — the name, and the fact that somebody took it over, with no account attached to it. This is so the link cannot be used again by anybody still holding a copy.

To request removal rather than doing it yourself, write to the address below.

Corrections and questions

You can correct your name and email address in Settings → Profile. For anything else — a question, a correction you cannot make yourself, a complaint, or a request for a copy of what is held about you — write to christopher.rouxel@gmail.com.
